Full Form of CA is Chartered Accountant. CA exam is organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). ICAI is regulated by the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. Chartered Accountant is a designation granted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to professional to practice in financial management, Audit, Taxation and many more.
In today’s time, there are around 3 lakhs practising Chartered Accountants in India. A Chartered Accountant has expertise in Audit and Taxation and only a Chartered Accountant is authorized to Audit the books of account of any company, NGO or any profit-making institutions.
Chartered Accountancy exam is divided into 3 prats-
- CA Foundation
- IPCC (Integrated Professional Competency Course)
- CA Final
Apart from this, students have to complete 3 years articleship under a practising Chartered Accountant to sit in CA Final Exam.
CA Foundation has 4 papers, IPCC and CA Final has 8 papers divide into 2 groups of 4 papers.
Duration of Course
The course duration of Chartered Accountancy exam is 4-5 years. This is divided into 3 parts with articleship. Any student can enter into Chartered Accountancy Course after passing 10+2 from any recognized Board.
Every exam in CA Course is conducted two times in a year in November and May month.
Eligibility and Admission process
Any student who wants to enrol in CA Course must have 10+2 degree from any recognized Board.
A student, who has Bachelor or Master degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks, is eligible to sit in IPCC exam directly.
A student, who has Bachelor or Master degree in any other stream with at least 60% marks, is eligible to sit in IPCC exam directly.
Any student who wants to enrol in CA Course can enrol himself by apply online through visiting any chapter office of ICAI.
